Behind The Library
Isobelle Austin, a London-based cellist, has spent years with this cello, making it an extension of herself. Whether performing in concert halls, recording for film, or performing at fashion shows, she’s brilliant at getting the most out of her instrument. Her deep connection with the cello ensured that every note we captured reflects its natural depth and emotional power.
We set out to create a cello library that’s more than just a collection of sounds. By combining the emotional depth of the traditional instrument with creative sound manipulation and intuitive editing tools, it becomes an extension of the cello’s expressive potential.
Concept
Over a few weeks, we recorded more than 1,000 improvised performances, following Isobelle’s natural flow to really capture the cello’s character—letting it grow into something unexpected.

We strongly recommend storing Cello Foundation on a Solid State Drive (SSD) for better performance - regular spinning Hard Disk Drives (HDD) may not be as efficient.
