As both a clarinetist and composer, Brandon plays with a natural instinct, shaping his own music while understanding how to bring other composers' ideas to life.
We set out to create a clarinet library that draws you in with its delicate, immersive quality—preserving the clarinet's subtle, organic character while pushing its boundaries in unexpected ways.
What makes it special: Brandon’s instincts as both a clarinetist and composer led to a range of creative articulations—from breathy gestures to trills and unexpected textures—bringing a rich sense of immersiveness and character to this library.
Intuitive to use, this library captures the most cinematic qualities of the clarinet, thanks to Brandon’s unique and creative approach to playing his instrument.
Concept
Brandon spent several weeks recording these sounds, carefully playing, capturing, and refining each one. True to his style, he used his go-to microphone setup and gear to perfectly capture the clarinet’s distinct character.
In his Chicago studio, Brandon captured over 1,000 textural and gestural performances, using the space he knows inside and out.
