we spent two full days with christopher brown, known for his work in black metal, who pushes this cello library to new extremes with aggressive, intensely expressive performances.
we edited and manipulated these twisted playing techniques, and made them into playable cinematic textures, perfect for music within the horror genre.

we recorded in los angeles for two days, capturing christopher's intense playing.
his mahogany cello's raw, rosin-rich voice, captured by multiple mics, released its natural darkness and profound depth.
during these two days with chris, we also captured ANGST, another fierce and unapologetic library that powerfully complements our DREAD sounds.
chris is known for his bold, head-on playing style, and channels the emotional depth of black metal through his cello.
it was his incredible ability to command his instrument, playing with a raw intensity we had never heard before, that immediately made us want to work with him, resulting in the creation of two singular instruments: DREAD and ANGST.
